From Suki’s teppanyaki to Sea Flirt’s beachside ceviche. Where to eat, what to order, and which reservation to book first.

From Arrecife's international buffet to Suki's teppanyaki counter. Every restaurant, what it serves, when it opens, and whether you need a reservation.
Desire Riviera Maya operates on an all-inclusive basis, which means all nine restaurants are included in your stay. You do not pay extra for any meal. Two of the specialty restaurants, Bordolino and Sea Flirt, require advance reservations. The remaining seven operate on a walk-in basis. Smart casual dress code applies at the specialty restaurants, so pack a few evening outfits alongside your swimwear.
Patio serves breakfast and lunch in a buffet format. It is the most casual dining option on the resort and the place most guests start their day. The spread is generous, covering international and Mexican options, fresh fruit, pastries, eggs made to order, and a solid coffee station. At lunch, expect salads, grilled items, and rotating hot dishes. No reservation needed, no dress code beyond resort wear.
Bordolino is the resort's Italian fine dining restaurant. Expect classic Italian dishes executed with care, including handmade pastas, risottos, and traditional meat and fish mains. This is one of the two restaurants that requires a reservation, so book early in your stay. It is one of the more popular evening options and tables fill quickly.
Sea Flirt focuses on seafood, with a menu built around fresh catches and coastal flavours. Like Bordolino, this one requires a reservation. The setting is elegant, and it tends to attract couples looking for a more refined evening meal. If you enjoy fish and shellfish, prioritise this one early.
SuKi serves a combination of Japanese and Thai cuisine. Think sushi, sashimi, pad Thai, and Asian-inspired mains. No reservation required. The flavours lean authentic rather than resort-generic, and it is a favourite for couples who want something lighter than the steak or Italian options.
Tucan is the resort's dedicated Mexican restaurant. Given that you are in Mexico, this is worth a visit for regional dishes prepared with local ingredients. Expect traditional moles, grilled meats, fresh tortillas, and flavours you will not easily replicate at home. Walk-in only.
Tentazione sits poolside and serves pizza and pasta in a casual setting. This is the go-to for a relaxed lunch or an easy dinner when you do not want to dress up. The pizzas are wood-fired and genuinely good. No reservation needed, and the vibe is laid-back.
Market Grill is the resort's steakhouse. Grilled cuts of beef, chicken, and other proteins cooked over open flame. If you are a steak lover, this will likely become a repeat visit. Walk-in basis, smart casual dress code for evening service.
El Mezquite is a taqueria serving tacos, quesadillas, and other quick Mexican street food. It is casual, fast, and perfect for a late-afternoon bite or a lighter meal. No frills, just well-made Mexican staples.
Island Fusion brings Caribbean flavours to the table. Think jerk-spiced proteins, tropical salsas, coconut-based sauces, and bold seasoning. It offers something different from the other specialty restaurants and is worth trying at least once. Walk-in only.
With nine restaurants to work through, a seven-night stay gives you enough time to try each one. Book Bordolino and Sea Flirt on your first full day to secure your preferred evenings. Use Patio for breakfasts and the occasional lunch, rotate through the specialty restaurants at dinner, and keep Tentazione and El Mezquite as casual daytime options. You will not go hungry.
